The Big Fat Knucklehead

Fishermen’s tavern   On most afternoons and evenings, this rough and tumble lakeside tavern will be filled with hardened dalefolk, mostly of whom are fishers. There is no shortage of loud laughing and frequent swearing patrons. The walls of the tavern are decorated with countless trophies: stuffed knucklehead trout, Scrimshaw, exquisitely crafted fishing tackle, and paintings of brave fishers defying the dangers of Lac Dinneshere.   Flug the Blind is an old man with an eye patch who stands behind the counter serving food and drink. He is a small man with short, thin hair. A deep scar runs from under his eye patch through his left eyebrow which is wider than any hook could rip. He tells everybody a wondrous tale of a stormy night when he caught so many small trout that he was continuously unhooking fish until an unlucky wave knocked him off balance, causing him to rip out his eye accidentally. Not wanting to miss out on this magical night of fishing, he continued to fish, using his eye as Bait, catching two trout simultaneously. In truth, he lost his eye when his fishing tackle splintered after a long fight against “Big Knuck”. Flug regularly tells his version to entertain guests but mostly to comfort himself because someone else caught Big Knuck, robbing him of his chance for revenge.
