Once a small military outpost, it was invaded by an Orkyn colony in 199.997. Under the leadership of Great Ork Lugash, the Orkyns developped a very profitable weekly market, that attracted buyers and tradesmen from a great many neighbouring systems. In 200.000, they had an encounter with the Destroyers of Worlds, who tried to take over the planetoid. They were repelled by Lugash and his Orkyns during Arrakis III, the Orkyn Market.The Yutan Imperium
In 200.001, while waging war near the planet, the Yutan Imperium declared Arrakis III a strategic position and descended upon it. As they overran the Orkyns, they found little resistance, as a Future Club operation already underway had already damaged their defense capabilities. Lugash was slain and the Imperium seized the planetoid, evacuating most of the civilian population and once again turning it into a military outpost.
