Khartoum

A temple-city on the Great River, at the conflux of the two major tributaries flowing from Lake Nalubaale and Lake Tsana. Regarded by the people of Sheba as the site of the union between the goddess of Love and the god of the Sun, few people live in the city and it has few amenities of daily living. Rather, it is a vast and beautiful temple complex spread over three separate precincts with a particularly sacred sanctuary on an island at the center of the conflux of the two rivers.   Khartoum is a place of union and diplomacy, and many nearby kingdoms come there for meetings, trade, treaties and so forth. Those individuals (especially nobles and royals) who can travel there for marriages often do so.
