Known World

The Known World is the name given to the area surrounding the Middle Sea. It is an imprecise term and inaccurate even within the area it is used; other lands are known and in some cases well-explored and even settled by civilizations within the Known World. The territory of four of the six Great Powers (Pelopon, Tunis, Khemri and Levane) lie entirely within the area of the Known World with another, Etrusca, expanding beyond its borders. The final two Great Powers, Al-Djinn and Uruk, lie outside the commonly-defined area of the Known World.
