Tunis

A cosmopolitan society unified by trade and commerce, with many trade routes all over the Middle Sea  and even through the Ultimate Gate and beyond. Rich because of this, they have been threatened militarily by Etrusca and employ many mercenaries to protect their interests.
The natives of Tunis are swarthy and darker of skin, hair and eye than other peoples of the Known World (although not as dark as the barbarian peoples of Libya to the south of Tunis and Khemri). However, their extensive trade routes and the cosmopolitan nature of their society means people from all over the Known World and beyond are represented there, and intermarriage is not infrequent.
