Gaiobros Library
Archives of the Gaiobros
This page details the various tomes and collections of knowledge gathered by the party in their adventures. Some of these can be researched during downtime, giving the players certain advantages or features based on the tome. If the character has spent any downtime hours researching the tome, it should be indicated immediately after the tome's listing.Disclaimer: This list was compiled based on what was recorded in the Gaiobros Item Catalog, which included items and books acquired by the group during their adventures through Chapter 20. Since then, I have transferred those books to this document, then updated both this and the other document from Chapters 21-23. Long story short, both lists should include everything that the party & players have, but may be missing things.
Group
Balcazar
- An up-to-date continental map of Cyregnor
- "Rise and Fall of the First Vempire" - written in Elvish, history book detailing the First Vempire & the Tundra Wars.
- "The Christmas Coverup" thought crystal
- A magitech Thought Crystal blueprint from the Lab for an Iron Man-like suit
- “Zaelim the Moonfather” thought crystal
- “The Divine Wars” thought crystal
Draconius Moanius
- Tome of Demonology - written in Abyssal, allows Draconius to learn more about demons. Allows him to use low levels of Blood Magic (can sacrifice HP to amplify the damage of spells), alter the forms of his demons, alter the powers of his demons based on the blood used to summon them, and other unlearned purposes.
- +11 days of Blood Magic study - After another day, can choose between the following powers; 1) use Blood Magic die on melee or ranged weapon attacks, or 2) add Blood Magic die to spells that require spell saves or have non-damaging effects (operates on a spell by spell basis, can amplifying your spell save DC that the target would need to beat, strengthen the magical effect placed on them, increase spell duration, etc.). Draconius can learn more about Blood Magic at the referenced page.
- "The Gigadragonomy" history book
- "The Gaios War" thought crystal & "Origin of the Gaioforce" tome
- “The Infernal Tongue” - an instruction book of the Infernal language, both written and spoken.
- Magical map of Vulsemar - reads your mind and shows you the destinations that are relevant to your goals within Vulsemar
- A magitech Thought Crystal blueprint from the Lab for magitech armor (like what he demanded from Obu)
- “Soul Wand” thought crystal, set of blueprints for the afformentioned device
- "Layers of the Thugoran Chaos" thought crystal
- "Thatos & the Pantheon of Chaos" thought crystal
- "Demon Lords" thought crystal
- "Reincarnation, the True Immortality" thought crystal
- a map of Zalcovia & the Temple of Rebirth. The map details how the Temple is connected to Zalcovia through a thin black line (possibly a teleportation tube) & references a Heart Chamber deep within Zalcovia.
- "The Rise & Fall of Cyrofel "
- Draconius has any demon summoning spells in his spellbook automatically, and can take 2d6 slashing damage to draw enough blood as a component for the spells (or he can use his blood vials; Medusa Blood will give summoned demons the Petrifying Gaze ability 1/day, Infernal Dragonblood will give them 1 10d6 fire breath weapon)
Master Obu
- +2 Research days on Garinium - Learns how rare it is and how he can potentially apply it to tech, giving him the proficiency he needs for any tinkering tasks related to magic-tech. Presumably, Master Obu found a book on rare metals, which I may not have recorded.
- A history book of Vulsemar & the old world
- "Magic of the Devils" thought crystal - may give Obu ideas if he studies during downtime
- "The Danocode" - written in Infernal, originally found by Balcazar, but given to Master Obu out of respect for his faith
- “Cyr & the Pantheon of Darkness” thought crystal
- A magitech thought crystal blueprint from the Lab, can study in downtime to gain ideas for a Gaiostone containment device
- “Health Benefits of Eating Souls” thought crystal - Obu can study it in downtime to gain potential benefits
- "The Twins' Biology & Experiments thought crystal
- "Avernion's Ascension" thought crystal - Obu can attempt to read during normal or downtime
- "Layers of Darthalheim" thought crystal - can be used as a broad reference for the stated realm.
- “Mystical Recycling” thought crystal - gives Obu an idea upon reading during downtime. The expended wish card that has a spark of magic left. With the right tools and rolls, it could be broken down and crafted into a Wish Pen, then recharged with the proper magic.
- finds a historical document detailing the Battle of the Last Wyrm (300-400 years ago), fought between Necropolis & Gorofax (the Winter’s End) and his army of Frost Drakes, Frost Wyverns, Frost Dragonborn, Young & Adult Frost Dragons residing in Cyregnor. This was one of the largest and most impactful battles of Necropolis’ history, as it took the combined efforts of Lady Gaelica, Zalcophet, the Necropolis Guard & nearly the entire Roving Shadows army to defend the city. Eventually, all of the Dragonborn & most of the dragons were killed, with Gorofax, some adult dragons & few young dragons escaping. This battle made dragons (true or otherwise) a rare species in Cyregnor and gave Necropolis most of the dragon corpses in their current possession. The appearance of Gorofax, the oldest living Legendary Frost Dragon, gave the Shadow King ideas for future arcane experiments and ambitions (possibly with a divine end goal). Master Obu might have found something else, but the DM wrote this almost two weeks later and forgot (he is open for suggestions from Chase on what else he found)
Fork
- “The True Meaning of Christmas" thought crystal - a mysterious scroll giving off whimsical holiday vibes. Written in Elvish
- "Baked Weapons" thought crystal - detailing several recipes for magically-enhanced baked weaponry, similar to Fork's Throwing Pretzels
- 4 other Thought Crystals with ideas for whatever Fork may desire
- learns that Zalcophet seems to hate bards, seeing music as an inferior way of accessing magic. He also learns about Bozer, the Dwarven God of Alcohol that occasionally passes through Necropolis to drink the exotic alcohol in the taverns, annoying both Zalcophet & the Shadow King. Fork might have found something else, but the DM wrote this almost two weeks later and forgot (he is open for suggestions from Sam on what else he found)
