Tombking Ahti Rhytyn
Tombking Ahti Rhytyn
Ahti Rhytyn's reign as Tombking was marked by paranoia, fear, and desperation. Born in 52 AHM, Ahti grew up witnessing the devastation of the Fogholt Plague, which claimed many of his family members, including his cousin Rudra and later his grandfather Ibnatum. When Ahti ascended to the throne in 105 AHM, following the rapid deaths of his siblings and nieces, he became obsessed with staving off further losses and protecting his dwindling bloodline.
In a bid to appease the gods, he reinstated the Dentorran Moon Sacrifice in 117 AHM, a practice long abandoned, hoping it would give foresight to save his ailing house. Tragically, his descent into madness led him to kill his own sons, Anubane I and Anubane II, and eventually many of his other children. By 148 AHM, Ahti's paranoid reign came to an end when his surviving son, Anubane V, murdered him at the age of 96, completing a grim cycle of death within the royal family.
"10 Wolves of Ahti" were the 10 boys raised by the Tombking, with most being sacrificed to the Moon God. The middle child killed his younger siblings and eventually his own father to keep himself alive. Anubane V took over as Tombking of the Caluan Desert.
