Óaa

Óaa is one of the largest and wealthiest cities of the Orrólans, and an important port for sailors on their between Dalra to the northwest and Vagalkan to the east.

Demographics

Most of the population belongs to various tribes of orrólans native to Aam, though a number of Galkans, Enans, Dalrans and other groups can be found there as well, many of which have adopted local customs to more or less degree.

Defences

The main entrance to the underground city is through a heavily fortified gate, and guards keep watch over the side entrances at all times.

Industry & Trade

Date palms are grown in great numbers around Óaa, and the city is the world's largest producer of dates and palm wine, which is sold in exchange for goods such as timber and linen.

Infrastructure

Aside from the harbour, warehouses, market and taverns along the coast, most of the city is more or less underground, carved into the cliff overlooking it, while crops and livestock are found on the flat top above, accessed by winding paths or guarded entrances to the city. Large air shafts provide the inhabitants with light and fresh air, while water is collected from cisterns connected to underground lakes.
