Hajat is what the Dalrans of eastern Emlas call representatives of the sixteen counties (jú) of the empire of Dalra. Unlike the Janak, who govern the provinces or quarters (stó) of the empire, hajats are not exclusively ethnic dalrans and are chosen by the inhabitants of each county to rule.

Responsibilities
Hajats are responsible for making sure that such things as taxation, construction of new buildings, road maintenance within their county go smoothly, and give regular reports on the state of thing to the janaks.
