Mourntide Shipworks

Purpose / Function

Mourntide Shipworks is the preeminent shipyard in Nineboons, and probably the whole of Skint Parish. Owned and operated by the same family--the Graffons--for generations, the shipyard specializes in sleek, quick sloops designed to ferry cargo up and down the Mourncoast.

History

The Shipworks began operating in earnest in 878 under the watchful eye of master shipwright Erastus Graffon. The first vessel it produced was allegedly a corvette later apprehended and scuttled by the Alerki Ascendency for piracy. Other notable endeavors include ship of the line launched in 1017 for Admiral Bogfail of the Ascendency Navy. It disappeared in Drembari Isles territory, all hands presumed lost.
The current leadership, twins Esthasi and Elross Graffon, dedicate more resources to building superior trading vessels than military craft.
