House Albescu

House Albescu is an Aomeni Noble House, and the ruling House of the Duchy of Gol-Kasha, the current head of which is Duke Andrei II Albescu. Originally subservient to House Vekhen of the Vekhen Empire, the Albescus have been independant since the 310s BE when Duke Sorin VII Albescu seceded during the Time of Turmoil. House Albescu was founded by Warden Albe, a General of the Vekhen Empire who was instrumental during the First Invasion of Gol-Kasha. During the chaos after the Battle of the Bloody Gate wherein Bozhura Vekhen was killed, Albe arose as a unifying force and was awarded the region that would eventually become the duchy. Since, the Albescus have ruled from Oryova.

Duke Sorin VII Albescu, AKA the "Mad Duke" or the "Arch-Duke," who attempted to convert the duchy into an autonymous Archduchy. Ultimately he was successful, though only in part. Known to be a powerful Shadeloreist.
Duke Cosmin I Albescu, father of the Shadeless Lord.
Duke Andrei II Albescu, AKA the "Shadeless Lord," believed to be immortal due to his command of Shadelore. Has been ruling the duchy since 259 BE.
