Økselund

Økselund is a frontier-town in Azerheim. It was founded by the Fredriksen family, and several families have settled there in the years since. It is neither the richest nor the biggest town in Azerheim, but it is safe and cozy, and it is the unofficial capital of the Axe League, as Emma Fredriksen has made her home there.
It is a cozy village with good and hard-working people.

Demographics

Økselund is exclusively populated by Azerdwarf migrants who have moved down from the mountains. There are a lot of children and young couples in the village, as it is a remarkably safe place to raise a family in the otherwise dangerous forrest, as well as a lot of older dwarves too old to make a life as frontierfolk in the more dangerous parts of the forrest.
A small core of adult dwarves make up the town and defend it from the few fey spirits that make their way so far out.

Defences

All azerdwarves with any self-respect are capable fighters, so Økselund has several dozen capable fighters and several more not-so-capable fighters.

Infrastructure

Økselund has three watermills driven by the rivers that run out of the forrest, alongside a lumbermill. Økselund's most important infrastructure though are the potato fields and grazing spots for the mountaingoats and horses they have.
