Sultana of the Desert Gem
Thessaly Zubiria is the young Sultana of Zul Garahn. She took over the role of Sultana at a very young age, after the death of her mother, Thanissia, at the hands of desert bandits. As such, she was robbed of the chance of a normal childhood, a trait that can be seen on occasion in her behaviour.
Thessaly has proved herself to be a competent ruler in spite of her youth. She has a knack for diplomacy and the death of her mother has rallied the people of Al Zahar around her in support. Although she is beloved by her people, the murder of her mother has left her paranoid of an attempt on her life, and she doesn't leave her palace without an escort of twenty knights.

Mannerisms
Thessaly has paranoia involving attempts on her life. This is a result of her witnessing the death of her own mother at a young age at the hands of desert bandits. As such, she doesn't leave the palace very often and when she does, she makes sure she is accompanied by her Throneguard.
Because Thessaly was thrust into responsibility at a very young age, she was robbed of a normal childhood. As such, in times when she is anxious, excited or angry, she can experience childish outbursts. These can range from mild temper tantrums to tearful eyes, to childish excitement.
Hobbies & Pets
Thessaly has a fondness for exotic birds, and the gardens of Chai'Tani palace are often filled with them. She finds it meditative to feed them as they visit her lush gardens.
