Following the destruction of Gronpike and the other disasters which have befallen the Kingdom recently, The Kingdom of Rotheval declared war on Irogonie.
Rotheval claimed that Irogonian Black Knights were active in their lands, particularly around Gronpike, and that the destruction of the city was their doing.
The timely intervention of ser Tyon Cray and several members of his Royal Council, apparently near Switham as part of The Ongoing Rescue Effort, were able to dissuade King Frederick from pursuing the war, leading instead to his abdication of the Throne of Rotheval, leading to his daughter Queen Margaret III Cimber ascending to the throne.
