Slave masters built it to stay over between their trips from Phandalin to Coldpond. Master Eadbed used to own the orphanage.

Madam Peretacia's Home for Unloved Children

History

Legend has it that village was build on a Drow burial site, where the great under-mountain (Dark Dwarves) slave masters buried their dead. Since then, the Elders built a village here and produced beautiful wine from a spring that runs from the mountains, and local elderflower.

Geography

Hollow Tree is in the middle of a swamp, surrounded by trees. The thick canopy always makes the town dark, giving it an uncomfortable gothic feel for visitors.
