Stoneview
Stoneview was an underground Dwarven city, deep in the Sheerpeak Mountains. The ceiling of the cave that holds the city is very high in the middle, and dips to meet the building roofs on either side.
Government
King Thrinan Onyxfoot
King Thrinan led the Stonemoor warriors deep into the mountains to reclaim Stoneview, following the evil of the 11th Age. No one was to ever know they were from Stonemoor, so he took it upon himself to keep the secret and enforce it. Many people in the city didn't even know.King Tomagoddaris Copperheart
King Tis was elected to the throne after the Battle of Stoneview. He led the city to war alongside the rest of Greyacre.Defences
Extremely difficult to gain entrance to the city from outside the mountain
Industry & Trade
The West district of the city was home to the industrial establishments - crafters, blacksmiths, makers, etc. The city relied on these to trade goods with neighbouring towns and cities.
Infrastructure
Stoneview Keep
This is where the Kings resided and kept council. There is a large throne room with a battle table in the middle. There were always many strong looking dwarves around the room, keeping a close eye on visitors. The keep was built up around a black pillar, with high walls and winding rooms.Rogarts, School of Sourcery
Stoneview was home to the Rogarts, School of Sourcery, a small arcane college that was taught by the royal wizard, Fraunk. He had 20 students that meet every day for a couple of hours each morning. Fraunk lost his life a hero, saving many civilians when Stoneview was overrun towards the end of The Dark War.History
Stoneview is steeped in history, but unfortunately none of it good.
The Dark Dwarves Under the Mountain
Stoneview was the location used by the Duergar to summon all their evil magic. This evil was contained inside the black pillar at the start of the 12th Age.The Dark War
The underground city was instrumental in The Dark War, first led by King Thrinan, then King Tis, the dwarves of Stoneview stood side by side with Greyacre and fought Agrob's armies. As the armies moved out, the city was sieged by Agrob's orc army for a second time, but this time took the city from the dwarves.Architecture
There is a large black pillar through the middle of Stoneview, from the floor to the ceiling of the cavern (see history). The keep is built up around the pillar, surrounded by some other large important buildings.
The North side of the city had a river running through it. Many animal farms were situated near this, enough to generate some food for the city.
