The All-Seeing Eye
Equipped to cater to the nuanced tastes of powerful visitors from all over the world, the All-Seeing Eye rivals the finest inns and eating houses of the Free City.
The sprawling three-storey building houses a collection of well-appointed rooms, a grand ball room, two skilled chefs, and many other minor comforts expected by the rich and powerful. The floors are marble, the gardens planted with fragrant shade trees, the tableware real silver, and the entire place radiates opulence.
Architecture
The broad building resembles a castle more than most inns. It is removed from its neighbours by a broad stretch of garden that surrounds it on all sides, where the gentle sound of fountains and the scents of exotic flowers and spreading fruit trees planted for shade and privacy create a calming atmosphere.
The walls are worked stone of a peculiar blue-grey shade, gabled with dark wood and supported by carved archways. Balconies for upper-level rooms are visible, though the rooms behind them are shielded with floor-length, deep-blue curtains.
Inside, woven rugs are laid over the marble floors to soften the sound of movement. The arched doorways between chambers are carved with tasteful patterns reminiscent of the forests and lake which surround the town. Wooden furniture and bannisters gleam warmly, smooth with ages of care.
Music fills the air at a gentle volume, from bards employed to keep guests entertained in the spacious dining and gaming rooms. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and at night light the inn with a warm glow.
