Imperial Train
The Imperial Train is the name used for the Imperial Court of Exum. Due to Makonnen, the Unifier familial traditions, he refused to settle in a castle and instead decided to roam the country to keep with his tribe's pastoral traditions. The current imperial court contains more than just the imperial tribe. The Empire's standing army the Imperial Ten Thousand escorts them where ever they go. They are easy to pick out from any other caravan due to them flying the flag of the Imperial Red.
Structure
Long ago, some forgotten advisor talked the Emperor into breaking his court down into two groups, the civil and military. The bipartite system consisted of the Central Secretariat that handled civilian affairs and the Beloved Council headed all military affairs for the empire.
The Mouth of the Emperor
was used as a herald when the position first started but moved to act as the Emperor's voice. Seeing how the Emperor never speaks in public, the Mouth of the Emperor speaks as if the words are coming from the emperor.
Head of Chiefs
is a title that has been in and out of retirement, mostly bestowed by the emperor when he did not want to govern the Kember himself. When an Emperor was actually doing the job of an emperor and governing his people, he would merge the office into his own. It has been that way since as of late and is culturally seen all over Exum as a bad sign when the position is given to someone else.
The Triumvirate of the Peacefuls
are the three eldest priest of the Road of Scholars . They act as sources of the oral history for the emperor, quoting from the Poetries Also they oversee state ceremonies, and are in charge of collecting taxes and handling revenue.
Lion General of Exum
The head of the The Imperial Ten Thousand. The Field General involving the Emperor's forces.
The Spear and Shield
Two priest of the Road of Warriors who served under the Lion-General as chief strategist during war, they were also in charge of promotion inside the Imperial Ten Thousand and were responsible for the defenses of the Imperial Train and advised on the defenses of many fortresses and Imperial Caravansaries around Exum.
--The First Spear of the Rearguard: While not officially a member of the Privy Council, he is in charge of the security of the Emperor and the Imperial Train and is often at the Emperors shoulder.--
Central Secretariat:
--Minster of the Pen: possesses the most power of the Imperial Court. His job is to walk two steps behind the emperor and write down all orders or decrees given during an inspection or when the Emperor is giving a particular person an audience.--Beloved Council:
