Hhuhìrri Yunri

The Hhuhìrri Yunri is a small Utoric kingdom in the northeast of Atux, bordering the Kich Mepyukk, the Rrossapsi Yunri, and the Sìkk Yunri. The Hhuhìrri Yunri had formed nearly four centuries ago after successfully rebelling against the Kich Mepyukk for their independence. Since then, the Hhuhìrri Yunri has had a close alliance with their neighbors, the Rrossapsi Yunri, due to their shared distaste of their former imperial rulers. The Hhuhìrri Yunri is a powerful kingdom with a strong military, one of the strongest of the Utor kingdoms, allowing them to be one of the most influential kingdoms in Atux, at least of those north of the Kich Mepyukk. However, this reputation is faltering due to unstable conditions within the government and poor leadership at the top of the government's hierarchy. Many conflicts have arose recently between the Hhuhìrri Yunri and the Kich Mepyukk, with disputes over resource-rich border regions creating tensions between the two nations. Many of these have led to the Hhuhìrri Yunri losing tracts of land along the border, worsening their already failing economy.   The Hhuhìrri Yunri is run by the kingdom's military, with the king instead being replaced with the High General of the Hhuhìrri army. The army controls the entirety of the kingdom's government, enacting their own laws and courts across the kingdom. The nobility of the Hhuhìrri Yunri are now largely ceremonial, having lost their feudal power to the central, military-based government that had taken control upon the kingdom's independence. The Hhuhìrri Yunri is a conflict-ridden kingdom, with many influential figures within the nation's government fighting each other for power and seeking to expand their own influence within the largely disorganized and dysfunctional government structure. Largely, under the military's control, the Hhuhìrri Yunri has declined in global standing, being seen as the sickly younger brother of the Rrossapsi Yunri due to their similar histories and close relation. The declining economic state of the nation and its recent territorial losses have begun to foster revolutionary feelings among its subjects.   The people of the Hhuhìrri Yunri are primarily Utor, though many Hazcuo and Komtol peoples also live within the kingdom's borders. There are also many Nuvarians and Palorians who live in the Hhuhìrri Yunri, primarily in the kingdom's rural southern regions. The kingdom's mountainous western regions are largely uninhabited spare a few groups of nomadic Palorians and some mining communities. Otherwise, the large majority of the population lives in the arable plains of the kingdom's eastern regions, living in rural communities, or in the many townships, along the Rrotas River. Most people in the Hhuhìrri Yunri live on agricultural lands and take up farming professions, though many others either work with lumber, hunting, or the brewing of various herbal and alcoholic drinks.
