Rrossapsi Yunri
The Rrossapsi Yunri is a small kingdom in the northeastern regions of Atux, bordered by the Hhuhìrri Yunri, the Kich Mepyukk, and the Sìkk Yunri. The Rrossapsi Yunri, along with its neighbor and close ally, the Hhuhìrri Yunri, are Utoric kingdoms independent of the Kich Mepyukk's influence in terms of their governments and geopolitical roles. Both kingdoms have long been independent nations, having broken away from the Kich Mepyukk nearly four centuries ago during one of the empire's drawn out conflicts with its bitter Almorian rivals, the Yika Amku. The Rrossapsi Yunri became an independent nation due to an armed rebellion that led the Kich Mepyukk to abandon the territory, allowing the Rrossapsi Yunri to declare itself an independent kingdom. Since the Rrossapsi became independent, they have kept their interactions with the Kich distant and bitter, refusing any attempts at cooperation and instead choosing to form alliances and trade agreements with the Yika Amku and other rivals of the Kich Mepyukk.
The Rrossapsi Yunri is run in a differing fashion to most other kingdoms, with its rulers being elected from a pool of mages and scholars affiliated with the various colleges of the kingdom. Run in the fashion of a Magocracy, the kingdom's government requires its rulers to be skilled in arcana and allows its rulers to be elected, albeit the only people who can vote are the influential nobles who make up the kingdom's elite class. The Rrossapsi Yunri's government was structured in this manner to forgo the possibility of a singular, tyrannical dynasty taking control over the government while also limiting the position of king to only the most educated and knowledgeable people in the kingdom. The Rrossapsi Yunri has a long history with arcana and magic, with the nation containing many magical hotspots and mage colleges being found in most major cities.
The Rrossapsi Yunri is mostly made up of Hazcuo and Komtol peoples, with the Utor making up a small, yet powerful, minority in the kingdom. Most of the elected Archmagi have been Utor, and most of the kingdom's nobility is also Utor in culture, meaning the nation is led by the minority Utor people. While not holding much political power, there is little difference in socio-economic standing between the Komtol, Hazcuo, and Utor peoples as a whole. Apart from humans, many Palorians and Nuvarians also reside in the kingdom, as well as a few small communities of hill giants and goliaths. Most of the kingdom's people live near the western coastline or along the river which acts as the border between the Rrossapsi Yunri and the Kich Mepyukk.
