Seymour Arbosas
Seymour Arbosas is the benevolent and troubled king of Auchnavar, the sole kingdom on the continent of Kingour. Seymour has held the ceremonial position of High King for nearly three decades, having inherited the throne upon his father's death, which was caused by a strange illness. Seymour is a fairly kind and benevolent man. He is naturally charismatic and is generally seen as an incompetent leader but a good and kind person. Fortunately, the position of High King only grants control of military proceedings, so Semyour's political incompetence does not affect Auchnavar's government as much as it would if he were the ruler of another nation. He is known to enjoy a drink and partakes in celebration and revelry quite often. However, his normally cheerful and carefree nature has been replaced with that of quiet brooding and grief, given the recent disappearance of his son, Dakota. Assuming the Shard-Touched, a cult run by a local zealot by the name of Craven Moorehead, to have kidnapped his son, especially in the wake of their recent conquest of territory in the southern regions of the nation, Seymour is distraught at the possibility of his son being killed by the cult. This has led him to issue out a nation-wide request for capable adventurers to venture out into the lands which the cult controls to retrieve his lost son.
