Anverai

The Order of Spirits created by the Oraedar before the Count of Time. To serve as Attendants, Champions, Emissaries, and Custodians of their Realms on Helaeron in later Aeons.
After the passing of the Oraedar from this world. The Anverai took it upon themselves to be the Preservers and Protectors of this worlds. Because they still held a great love and admiration for their masters. For a time, they presided over the many corners of the world. To guide and protect the Elder Races. But their wise council was ignored time and time again. Their noble acts to ensure peace were disregarded. Inevitably, the Elves suffered the downfall of their own civilization from severe infighting and relentless conflict. The Dwarves retreated into their mountain realms in a period of isolation. The Giants became fragmented and hostile to all but their own tribes. The Dragons were on the verge of extinction from their contention with the abominations created by The Strangers. And the Orcs would not be swayed away from their conflicts with their dark hearted kin, the Black Orcs. A new path was the only solution. Though it was yet unseen.
Caemar with the aid of his fellow Anverai, created Humans. A race that was meant to encompass the virtues that would save and change the world. Though Humankind may have fallen from virtue. Caemar could see their potential and future as the redeemers of the world. The promise of their kind. And so he never gave up on them. Deciding to guide them through the emboldening of the noble and brilliant few among them. To lead them to great accomplishments and brighter futures.
The Anverai are held in the minds of Humankind as the Gods of Old. Caemar himself features in nearly every religion or spiritual belief of the Races of Humans. Either as an Omnipotent Entity, or as a Divine in Disguise. The names attributed to the Anverai are Many and Complicated. But their influence on their Human creations is undeniable.

The Anverai were of a tribal structure. Having two Overchiefs, two Underchiefs and their champions.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Anverai were beings of Spirit and Ethereal Essence. Their bodiies were not finite in the way the other beings of Helaeron are. Yet, their forms were nearly always that of a Human.

As is recounted by many tales in the oral traditions of the Wood Elves, "The Old Spirits were as we in shape, yet made Other by their power. Their eyes were as flaming stars whose fire waxed and waned with their moods. Their skin was veined by The Energy of Mana. And their coming and going was ever heralded by the land, the sea, and the sky."

Though the Wood Elf tales, and many stories from Old Artea say that the Anverai could become as wind, or take the form of an animal. Some have even taken the form of living Humans and posing as them when they had need to.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Anverai could choose to reproduce sexually or asexually. As Spirit Beings. They could procreate by will alone. But some would bond and create together in honor of their bonds. Creating new Anverai.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Anverai were capable of impossible perception. Hearing birds nesting across the sea. Looking upon the faces of Dwarven Kings deep in their mountains without entering them. In truth, there was scarcely anything they could not do.
