Giants

The mighty titans that dwell in various inhospitable places of the world. The Giants are the Fifth Elder Race. The Creations of the Oraedar Jodron as his more servitors and warriors. Once they were a single kind without diversity and traditional schisms. But as their numbers grew and their social structures developed. They grew apart, and diverged into three distinct cultures. The Wild Giants in the Wildernesses, the Ice Giants in the bitter North, and the Fire Giants in the South and in various volcanoes.

As the Elves and Dwarves came to spread and develop across the Known World. They would come to blows with their fellow Elder Races for their rights to claim lands to settle. The Dragons would try with great effort to arbitrate on their behalf as they had with the Elves and Dwarves in the past. Though the wants and demands of the Giants made arbitration its own kind of war at times.

Average Intelligence

Giants are not as mentally capable as the other races. And their comprehension of other languages is just as incapable. Though Giants of The Fourth Aeon have been reported to understand or even speak more of The Common Tongue than their ancestors. Their own language of Wunic is made up of crude and almost indiscernible sounds. To non-speakers, it would sound like grunting and slurred words. But to expert ears, it is undoubtedly a language.

For the most part. Their intelligence is developed around their survival requirements, or any forced interaction with outsiders. They're mentally capable enough to fashion winter clothing from the pelts of large beasts. Though they require little in the way of warmth due to their thick, heavy body hair.
