Voiceless Daughters

The Voiceless daughters are often viewed with mixed opinions, many of the greater families and houses within them view them as a disgrace, a place where daughters and sons who could not live up to expectations are sent, to disappear from public view, while smaller families see it as a great honor, a place where they can a great purpose then they could ever provide them.

Structure

While the watch orders allow for more freedom than the Radiant guard in terms of its hierarchy and reliance on chain of command, it does still follow the same organizational structure. As such it is quite common that the luminous rather than an assistant to the illustrious runs her own operations, and that their teams are much smaller groups of infiltration units.

Public Agenda

The Voiceless daughters serve a dual purpose or rather are often entrusted with two types of tasks when the Radiant or the council calls upon them. They have often served as intelligence gatherers during conflicts, for their skill in illusion magic and their conclave of diviners, but has also been called upon to investigate internal affairs like many of the other watch orders, the difference being that when the voiceless daughters are called it is often matters concerning the guilds or even the families.
A tradition that has been in blade since Illustrious Lazim Haidar took over the order, and the reason for its namesake, is that all kindle must swear off their family name until they become fully-fledged flames, an act of great alienation to its recruits, as they must learn to live on their own and that must be able to separate their pollical lives from that of their duty, as members of the watch orders.

Assets

The Voiceless daughters are trusted in court for their decades worth of service, as such can call upon backing when needed, as well as possessing their own watch hold within Rashim and several hideouts placed within the greater cities for their more clandestine operations. Uniquely among many orders, the Voiceless daughters can call upon their cabal of diviners, something that has made the order sought after greatly during times of conflict. This cabal consists of guild mages and men of the great families who are given special privileges and accolades for their service in the order, making it quite a sought-after position, but a secretive one.

History

The Voiceless Daughters were founded in the wake of the second war for the sacred flame, to ensure that such a tragedy could not occur again, originally meant to infiltrate the other mage cities and ensure no one where housing the escaped pretender, though ultimately it did lead to several incriminating evidence against several Sunborn, this and the new leadership saw the voiceless daughters transition into internal affairs
