20 Flamerule
Rhistel invited Rirlox to Deerborne for a future business venture involving the ruins.
Returned to Deerborne and had lunch at the The Salty Stag's Rest, where Rhistel and Zephyrum had lunch, and met Elowen. Elowen gave them an abridged history of Deerborne, and explained The White Stag of Deerborne Mythos. Also told them about the festival.
Finally turned in Quest: Investigate the Deerborne Ruins to Baron Abrams, and recieved 4000gp. the HFH are temporarily borrowing the Tome of Asgorath to translate it for Baron Abrams, in which he'll get the first translation for free.
21 Flamerule
Began reading/translating Tome of Asgorath and got about 2/8ths through it.
Rhistel talked with Elowen some more about white stag, and wanting to meet it.
Eventually went to Father Azalia to ask about Tome. Azalia mentioned he know who Asgorath is, but only his father, Jasarkijin could truely help with any information. However, he gave a warning that brining Jasarkijin into the fold would bring conflict between him and Zazozysrath due to the nature of the dragons.
22 Flamerule
Zephrum Coaltrain explored the town with Aidron while Rhistel worked on the translation. He rolled low, so he only found the "Signed" businesses in the town. Alchemy academy, league supply, copper chain, white stag, the blue dragon, and lastly, the Thorny Rose, where he met Madame Ophelia, but left after handing her a business card.
Rhistel when to Academy, met Majorian Chubb and bought a health potion (no pulp). Wandered to Thorny Rose, met Melisenda Hertzfeld, and had a pleasant experience with one of the girls.
That Evening, Alys arrived to town to start Event: Run-in with Triandal.
23 Flamerule
Alys wants to head out ASAP to find what happened to Livi, and feels dumbfounded for not renting a horse earlier. HFH got a rental of a covered wagon and some horses to first try and recruit Rirlox, then head to Luskan. They persuade Rirlox to join them, as Rirlox tells Vaessetertath to watch over his ruins and make sure nothing is touched.
They depart and head back to town, where the guards are initially defensive of a black dragon following them, but put down their weapons and allow HFH to travel North.
Rhistel, Alys, Zephrum, Aidron, Rirlox, (Barrin Mistglide and Bic Penn) head out. As they head north, Alys and Rhistel chat. The weather turns bad and the heavy rain causes the party to have to pull off and wait it out. Everyone is inside the cart, except Rirlox and Aidron who are sheltering under it, each trying to one-up each other about the suffering they both have experienced.
Eventually, the weather lifts up after a bit but the area is covered in a heavy fog, where they run into Side Quest: Enchanted Grove.
Rhistel and Alys are the only ones able to solve the the Sprite's riddle, and are the ones to enter the grove and speak to the spirit tree. Alys asks if Triandal was behind Livi's death, but the tree says he had no hand in it, but has a hand in Livi's stuff.
Next, Rhistel tricks the fey tree into revealing a little about Asgorath: "There are two, one that is evil, and one that is good. Together they created all. Asgorath is one."
The sprite, frustrated with Rhistel out fey-ing the fey becomes contempt to Rhistel, and the spirit tree begrudginly answers Rhistels actual question if "the stag in the woods will be trouble," with "no, but they fey will be." At which point, the sprite disappears and the tree remains silent.
As Rhistel and Alys leave the grove, the fog lifts to reveal the path to Luskan.
They arrive in the early evening.
