Session 9
General Summary
The HFH are currently still in Deerborne, with Maccath interrogating Rhistel Faevyre and pretty much everyone else about Purple dragon, Dalarveia and Tashazhi. If left to her own devices, Maccath will continue questioning them both until she's happy with her information (learing where they're from, lineage, names,
Following that, on 1 Eleasis, the workers will come for Scene: Installing the Teleporter. (Make up a character for the foreman, plus about 6 of his lackeys). The foreman will describe how it all works, but tell HFH that the Relay Crystal needs a few days (1d4+1) to "align itself" before it's ready for use.
There will be some contention as one of the lackeys will be a gnome with Myla and Laylee being overtly hostile to them, unless the players intervene. (Teleporter Installers ). Otherwise, after about 6 hours (plus an hour lunch break), the teleporter will be ready for use for direct teleport circle teleportation. Random teleports will take 1 week until the crystals are charged.
Also, Aidron the Bronze Wrymling will not be available for a few days as he's going to do Inventory with Reiner Von Hardenberg at the Creaking Meadery (now that the basement is done).
Then it's up to the players to head to Oakhurst.... Baron Abrams gives the players an old Map to Oakhurst that was in the Deerborne Archive. If they do, the direct line trip takes 2-3 days and goes right through the Neverwinter Wood. (2 encounters per day ( https://5e.tools/tables.html#forest%20encounters%20(levels%205%e2%80%9410)_xge ) ). If they do go this way, Vaessetertath will take interest and stalk the party for a while since she remembers them. If the party stops for a break, she'll sneakily approach and join the party, trying to get the jump on a random member. Other than that, she just wants to ask what they are up to, and if they have seen anything "interesting" out in her woods. There is also the chance of running to the Fey again, but they are hostile to Rhistel, but cordial to everyone else. Vaessetertath can assist with any encounter if the party is getting beat except if they stumble into another Fey enclave.
If they go the long way around, it takes about 4-5 days (1 encounter per day after Luskan).
