Temporary Home
A gnome wizard named Poni created a fusion of science and magic that backfired, causing an entire town's inhabitants to vanish and several others to appear. Poni explained that the explosion must have destabilized the envirochronic resonance architecture- the area's random teleportation through time and space would continue until the archway was repaired to fix the issue. To do so, they'd have to teleport through the arch to each location, find the piece, and return. Once the pieces were returned and assembled, the problem should be fixed. However, with the archway missing, the magic was unstable and would often teleport them to a nearby location on the same plane as the destination.

Exposition
Poni, a conjuration wizard tinkerer, was expelled from Ebedine College of Wizardry due to his insistence on experimentation outside the safety guidelines of the College. They had hoped that without the funding and expertise offered by the College, the damage he did would be minimized. Unfortunately, his attempts to create a magitech teleportaion device that could be replicated for cheaper, easier travel long distance were not stopped. His journals, found in Session0001, indicated that he built and tested several machines, many of which ended in explosions of various size. He did manage to build a working teleporter that would take him places he'd already been, teleporting once into his old college residence, but he decided to push further, attempting to teleport beyond the dimensional barrier.
On 5 Jaqmont, Eloise Moonstream was in the middle of writing a letter to Master Enchanter Qarius, requesting the Spellguard be sent to Bellbury to deal with Poni. She was teleported out of the village mid-word. Her letter was later found by the players.

The Bellbury Incident
On 5 Jaqmont 3Y20, Poni attempted to cross the dimensional barrier with the Quantum Riftshift Slipstream Teletransmitter. The archway exploded into several pieces, each of which was sent through time and space to other locations along with every humanoid in the area except for Poni himself. Poni's body was killed by the explosion, but his consciousness was transferred to the control rod. The crystal that powered the rod burned out, causing him to be 'unconscious.' Meanwhile, the damage to the envirochronic resonance architecture disrupted the ability for time and space to remain constant and people from across the world randomly started teleporting into Bellbury.Session0001 Brimeia, Nera, Ravaphine, Seirixori Iscitan, and Urrak D'Akshi were teleported into Bellbury. After a short exploration of the town, they found Poni's house in flame. They put out the fire and investigated the house, discovering the Quantum Riftshift Slipstream Teletransmitter, several journals, and Poni's body.
Session0002
Poni was able to tell the group about the Quantum Riftshift Slipstream Teletransmitter and gave them a quest- go into the teleporter to recover the component pieces of the archway, put them back together, and stabilize the envirochronic resonance architecture of Bellbury.Rising Action
