Session 64: Money, Execute, Fight Tork, More Money?

General Summary

The session began on GreenSprout 14, 2597 in the morning at the Spice Family Estate in Skormp. Kale's first thought upon waking was how a big war between the empires would be an ideal time for an invasion from hell. After this thought, Rodan Spice requested (via message) a writ from Elder Je’Son stating their mission had been accomplished and the trade deal was negotiated. This was delivered within a week and an audience with King Jorip for their successful mission was scheduled for roughly BloomingRoot 10, 2597. Advisor Sil'a and the Absolute Majesty III was made known of their success and told to return home to Skormp. During this time Kale scryed on Miz to find out she was in the Doresak Oasis by herself near the Cliffs of Shade outside of Pilf. Kale also scryed on other people during this time. Tork did a bit of shopping as did Atticus while they all continued to work on plans for the overthrowing of Skormp. Wren trained Ariata while Alena Birch worked on fletching arrows.

On BloomingRoot 10, 2597, they made their way to an audience with King Jorip. The King bestowd the title of Ambassador on Rodan Spice permanently, gave him the Absolute Majesty III along with the crew and a year of their salaries, and granted him a wish of his choosing. After consulation with the rest of the party and partly at Atticus's suggestion, he requested Joint Operations LLC to join the Oasis Guild and 150,000GP which the king agreed to. They also decided to excute Roland Spice at the 1st Annual Spice Family Gladiator Games. On their way out, as Rodan Spice was shaking hands, Alena Birch noticed the old nobles in attendance at the ceremony had backwards facing hands - like the Rakshasa who was part of the Pact of the Damned.

With this, the party got ready for the 1st Annual Spice Family Gladiator Games while also investigating a bit the backwards hands folks and sending some information about them along to allies. The 1st Annual Spice Family Gladiator Games took place starting around 10AM on BloomingRoot 14, 2597. In the Manufacturing Ward, Cesantar Spice had an old foundry converted into an arena that could seat over 10,000. It was here that 250 competitors faced off to the death for a pot of 50,000GP with the winner getting to fight Tork (not to the death) for an additional 50,000GP. Eventually, the fights were won, very bloodily, by Pikeman (Rocks) who executed Roland Spice as a spectacle in front of the crowd (sawing off the head with a dull blade). He then accepted to fight Tork and lost in this match (still maintaining his original 50,000GP winnings). With this the event ended and the party headed back to the Spice Family Estate. They now had under a month to prepare for the Gu'us Empire's invasion of Skormp and needed to plan the assassination of King Jorip, the real and fake bombings with Rom Laren "The Raven", and the uprising in the Squalor. So ended the session, with the next to begin on BloomingRoot 15, 2597 in the Spice Family Estate as the party awakens for the day (those who sleep that is).
