Princess Brida (a.k.a. Maidenloom)
Brida was the child of Earl Skulvar the heartless. She grew up a warrior and heir & righthand woman to her father. She grew quite smitten with a warrior who had moved to the Isles, a man named Veli. The two grew close and she gave him the sirname of Riderson. He father was quite impressed with Veli's strength in battle and gave Brida to him. The two got married and had three children.
Veli was the light of Brida's world. She trusted no one like she did him, and no one knew her like he did. She often harrased him infront of others and gave him many names. The kindness of which was Riderson. Whislt giving vowes their wedding was crashed by a Cockatrice. The two ditched their rings and ran after the beast. It lead them up the mountain where they slew it, and slept that night. The day her eldest, Uhtred, was born it was the happiest day of her life. She remarked in glee how much he looked like his father.
Brida was in Alton on that fateful day. She saw the smoke first, Kongrig was snared in flame. The drums echoed in the forest, and the marching shook the trees. While Veli got the children to saftey Brida stood ready for whatever may come, but she wasn't ready. They were taller than men; with teeth sharpend to a point. She slew one and lanced another before the mace found her ribs. When Veli returned she was still warm, but her chest was still. He took her in his arms, and as he wept the ocean around the entire Island roared up into the air.
