Scene: The Final Confrontation
Battle has three phases.
Phase one, the Altar
Takhsis hovers above her altar, a dome of energy surrounds her. From this dome of energy two massive shadow hands appear and attack the party. Dome health: hp 240, AC 12, resistance to everything. Hands: 100 hp each (shared with dome), AC 16, Saves/stats (see modified lich) Attacks: > Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 11 (2d10) necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, the claw can pull the target up to 10 feet toward itself, and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). The boneclaw has two claws. While a claw grapples a target, the claw can attack only that target. Shadow Jump (Recharge 5–6). Advantage on grappled creatures > If the claw is in dim light or darkness, each creature of the boneclaw's choice within 15 feet of it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 34 (5d12 + 2) necrotic damage. The boneclaw then teleports up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. It can bring one creature it's grappling, teleporting that creature to an unoccupied space it can see within 5 feet of its destination. The destination spaces of this teleportation must be in dim light or darkness. Furthermore, three more Drow Elite Warriors https://5e.tools/bestiary.html#drow%20elite%20warrior_mm . If they die, on Takhisis' next lair action will (one per turn) be turned into Greater Zombies https://5e.tools/bestiary.html#greater%20zombie_tftyp If they shield is ever broken, her form will slink between the cracks in the ground. A wave of massive magical energy can be felt. The ground starts breaking and falling apart. The walls collapse and begin hovering and flying up in the sky. The platform the party is standing on is raised above ground with several rocks flying around. Before them, hovering upwards is a ball of shadow. "I really wish I wouldn't had to use this hideous creature, but nothing will hold me from my earned revenge!" Then, suddenly, the darkness disperses and a wicked creature with tentacles for a face, zombie like skin, tome in hand appears before them. Lair actions (Initiative 20)Phase 2, power unearned:
Darkness phades in and out around the battle arena, Takhisis will move around as she sees fit. See changed Lich in joplin. She will bring up the improved zombonis from before if she hadn't raised them already. She appears with the globe of invulnerabiliy already active. Takhisis breaks free from the Illithilich, its skin tearing and screaming as pure darkness pour from all its seems After wards, an explosion is heard, Takhisis' voice dark deep broken, "Curse you, curse you all! You will never stop me from what I deserve! NEVER!" Takhisis' unraveled form appears in front the party. The form is immune to all damage and status effects. As Alton is casting the spell, the gods will help him cast the spell (thus takes 3rd level spell slot or higher to cast) The hands return (see phase 1) destroying them will disable them for a round. This spell circle requires assistance from the party (6 checks), each succesful class skill check + proficiency will lock another section of the takhsisis away. DC 20 checks all around required. The spell circle has 100 hp, takhisis will raise https://5e.tools/bestiary.html#greater%20zombie_tftyp s 3-4 at a time to assault the spell circle and attempt to interrupt it. Once the last succesful check occured more and more spell circles appears, Takhisis isboxed in and sucked away, with cries and screams she vanishes into thin air with a pop sound. All the rocks start to fall and the party tumbles too. After reaching the ground (any dangerous falls will be caught by their respective gods), the party walks outside of the pantheon to a hundreds of skeletons collapsing to the ground. And loud cheers from the army that stands opposed to them. Everyone comes together for drinks andcheers. Food is had and shared across many hands. And afterwards... well.. what afterwards? The session ends there, the party can decide for themselves what happens in their epologue afterwards.
