Divine Goals & Aspirations

Val'Miis' origin remains a mystery as does that of many of the Gods, but more details are known of Val'Miis' story than most given that she is classified as a Modern God. Val'Miis was once the four mortals that, when acting individually, serve as saints, Ferila, the Brave, Scelin Stoneskipper, the Lucky, Serio Alteri, the Reckless and Kor Torchbearer, the Heroic.   The four mortals now known as Val'Miis put an end to the cataclysm that brought the Age of Man to an end. In an time period that has been erased almost entirely from the historical record and memory of all, perhaps even including the Gods, the saga of Ex Auder, the original name of the group, prevails. As is the nature of the memory of that time, depending on the retelling, the exact threat varies between Lech, God of Depravity, Blair, Goddess of Fear, and even Gaulgulis, God of Damnation. Some even claim that it was Baltus, The New God of Creation who posed this existential threat, but this is a far less popular version of the story. As the story goes, this band of unlikely friends, representing four different mortal species, got together and became known for their prowess as adventurers, navigating a dangerous world that is said to have been alien to modern day Jeharr. Ultimately, when facing existential destruction, by luck, skill and solidarity, Ex Auder, as their group had come to be known, battled and sprinted their way through danger to the heart of the threat that endangered the world. Once there, with little knowledge of what would happen next or time left to find out, Ex Auder plunged into the heart of the darkness that threatened to consume the world and emerged victorious as Val'Miis, Goddess of Audacity.   Val'Miis seeks to empower mortals to take the world into there own and hands and make of it what they will. Val'Miis shares a lot in common with Itar, God of Free Will and is very close with Farahnita, Goddess of Love in something of a tragic affair of the heart. Val'Miis favors bold, intrepid mortals and those with a devil-may-care attitude. It is through these feats of exploration and daring that truly allow mortals to grow and become the greatest agents of change in Internus. By earning glory and amassing fame and prowess in life, mortals grow to become much more powerful and resistant to corruption after life on Jeharr, and the greatest of Val'Miis' followers, particularly those who fall in battle will join her in the afterlife and continue to travel the cosmos as a part of Ex Auder.   Val'Miis is mostly aligned with good Gods that don't exert too much control over their followers. These Gods include the aforementioned very closely aligned Gods as well as Rein, Ahnita, Onus, Gianti and Xihana.   Val'Miis directly evil Gods and those that seek to overmuch stunt the growth of mortals. These Gods include Lech, Blair, Gaulgulis, and Atar, Paladora. Val'Miis is also regularly in conflict with Vaarmeq due to his propensity toward misfortune and to pass that misfortune onto the mortals who follow Val'Miis.
