The Labyrinth of Heroes

A sprawling, twisting, complex of ancient grey stones, the Labyrinth of Heroes sprawls under half the planet's surface. Not even the Sons of Avalon have managed to map its full extent. A task made neigh impossible as sections of the labyrinth will rearrange themselves without warning. This can seal off sections of the labyrinth for millennia. The Sons of Avalon have found the bones of many an unwary traveler within the labyrinth.
The origins of the labyrinth are unknown, the sons claim it a relic of man from the dark age of technology. Though many contest that origin, the people of Albatanica tell stories about it being built by the fae to house a great evil. The Mechanicus meanwhile have posited numerous theories. Ranging from corroborating the son's claims; to the labyrinth being xenos in origin. There's one story of its origin that differs from all others. An ancient tablet, painstakingly translated by the Inquisition tells of beings older than time itself. Who constructed a fortress as their last refuge, should all hope in the galaxy be lost. Though most ascribe this tablet's contents to the mighty Blackstone Fortresses, some believe it refers to the Labyrinth of Heroes.
Whatever its origins the Labyrinth of Heroes has been an invaluable asset to the Sons of Avalon. They have even managed to learn how to work large swathes of it, after the discovery of several control rooms. Finding these control rooms is an ever-present endeavor of the 10th company.
