Battle of Miantar

The final battle of the Great Civil War was fought in the Miantar Passage and northern Olaria.
The forces of the Lanarian Empire were commanded by Delzon, and the forces of the Vincaran Federation were led by Commander Xarax.
Although the Lanarians technically "won" the battle, the heavy losses on both sides made it a pyrrhic victory at best.
The Vincaran commander, Xarax, was slain by the Lanarian commander, Delzon. Afterward the Vincarans would claim Xarax's ship was retreating at the time, making Delzon's actions dishonorable. Delzon claimed Xarax was moving to ram a Lanarian medical ship, which would have been an equally dishonorable act. Controversy remains to this day.
