Irokori (EYE-row-CORE-ee)

Irokori is the newest member of the Vincaran pantheon to be born into the cosmos--i.e. Daiad the Shaper has finished crafting the form that will allow Her to fully manifest in the world of the living, rather than filtering everything through the spirit realm. Her "birth" is prophesized to take place in 7007 by the Vincaran calendar (4231 by the Lanarians' Melzeen calendar).   Her titles include Goddess of Renewal and Lady of Flames.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Irokori is represented by imagery of fire, lava, and volcanism.  Her priestesses dress in red, yellow, and orange, and the same colors are used to decorate Her temples and shrines.  While some artists have depicted Irokori as a woman made of flame and ash, she is more often represented as a stylized flame or the silhouette of a volcanic cone.

Tenets of Faith

Irokori is the Goddess of Renewal, and Her message is one of hope and rebirth.  In order to get to that renewal, however, the past must be burned away.  The Tomes of Irokori use the imagery of wildfires or volcanic eruptions destroying landscapes but ultimately leaving them refreshed and more fertile than before.  In other words, Irokori knows it is difficult to move past your burdens, and the process isn't always pretty.  However, it is never too late to make a new start.   The mainstream followers of Irokori believe that only prayers and occasionally inanimate ritual objects should be literally cast into the flames.  Extremists like the Vanguard of Irokori will burn buildings and even people in their quest to destroy the past.
