Akadimaïkós District
All of Skysong’s various academic institutions can be found here, as well as some gorgeous libraries filled to the brim with literature and educational resources from an impressively vast number of worlds and subjects. The buildings in this region are mostly dedicated to learning in one form or another, including community-run centers for the trade of skills and hobbies. It isn’t unusual to see a Meri grandmother bartering a knitting lesson in exchange for a sit-down tutelage on the finer mechanics of the game of Berat (which is, apparently, similar to chess).
It is easy to grow intimidated by the sheer volume of knowledge and information — but should you spend enough time in Akadimaïkós, you might find that while the number of subjects and topics one can mull over seems limitless, to find a deeper mastery of many of the more niche or less common subjects or skills is difficult. There is no breadth of knowledge diving into any given thing; many texts are surface-level explanations, often world-specific and scattered — sometimes even contradictory. What’s true for one world, after all, may not be true of another — and it seems that the libraries accept submissions without much in the way of vetting for accuracy.
