Katoikitikós District

Everyone needs a place to rest their head at night, and Katoikitikós is where most Meridians call home. Built around a network of circular gardens in the middle of the district, it houses innumerable apartments, single-story homes, and multi-family residences in a dizzyingly wide variety of styles and shapes; this area is the most eclectic out of them all, and a walk through these streets would give any pedestrian the feeling of traveling through time and space as they journey. It isn’t uncommon to see structures in various states of renovation here, too; the ‘landscape’ of this portion of the city is ever evolving. It is customary for people to band together and assist one another in building and rebuilding memorials to the places they or their ancestors hailed from, keeping pieces of their cultures alive for the day they return to their people.
