Ibec Hall
Ibec Hall is a massive star-fortress and castle located in the heart of the Empire of Therengia, within the city of Therenborough. The castle was originally designed to house the Baron/ess of Therengia, but it now serves as the residence of the current Emperor of Therengia.
The castle is a marvel of gothic architecture, with its tall parapets, flying buttresses, and intricate stone carvings.
Construction of Ibec Hall began over a 1,000 years ago, during the Draconic Age, originally as nothing more than a jarl's hall and has evolved much over the years. The castle was built using magic and the labor of skilled artisans and craftsmen. The castle is designed to be impregnable, with its thick walls and intricate defenses.
The most impressive feature of Ibec Hall is its defenses. The castle is surrounded by a deep moat filled with deadly sea creatures, such as Sleek Hele'la from Hara'Jaal and sea serpents known as 'Sinuous Elsralael'. The castle's walls are made of magically reinforced stone that is nearly impossible to breach. The castle's towers are equipped with ballistae and other siege weapons, which can be used to repel attackers. Additionally, the castle has a secret escape tunnel, which leads out into the surrounding countryside.
The castle's interior is just as impressive as its exterior. The castle has dozens of rooms, including a great hall, a ballroom, and numerous bedrooms and guest chambers. The castle's kitchens are staffed by dozens of cooks and chefs, who prepare lavish feasts for the castle's residents and guests. The castle also has a large library, which contains thousands of books and scrolls on a wide range of subjects.
Despite its formidable defenses, Ibec Hall has been attacked several times throughout its long history. The most notable attack occurred during the Lyras Wars, when the castle was besieged by the forces of the Tabaxi Necromancer Lyras. The castle's defenders were able to repel the attack, thanks in large part to the castle's impressive defenses. Since that time, the castle has been strengthened even further, and it remains one of the most secure fortresses in the entire empire.
