Ilithi Cavalry
The Ilithi Cavalry stands as the most professional and well-trained cavalry fighting force on Kermoria. So numerous are their riders, it is said that, should the entire army muster in one place, the enemy would feel the tremors for three days before their arrival.

Numbering nearly a million strong, spread throughout the province, the cavalry of Ilithi is, truly, a force to be reckoned with.
Equipment
Each cavalryman maintains his own animal; with a long history as horse lords from the steppes west of Shard, this is second nature to the majority of them.
Weaponry
Many cavalrymen are excellent bowman, making fantastic use of both a crossbow and a modified shortbow, known as a slurbow, as an extremely effective, very mobile, skirmishing force. Many others prefer the weight of the charge, wading into battle as far less shock cavalry and far more as melee cavalry, swinging their sabres and axes with abandon.
Structure
The cavalry structure mimics and supports the infantry; where you find the Ilithi Infantry, you find the cavalry, but in far greater numbers, especially in the western army.
Tactics
With the sheer weight of numbers, not to mention the hail of arrows and thundering charge, the Ilithi cavalry prefers to encircle and overwhelm their opponents. Only in Ilithi will you see the dreaded Circle, where the horsemen steer only with their knees, turned 90 degrees in the saddle whilst riding in a continuous left-hand circle around their opponents, firing shot after shot from their slurbow.
