Elvish

Spoken across the continent of Khalon, Elvish acts as a Lingua Franca for all Khalonians. Originally brought to the continent by elves, Elvish spread to other races following the Elven Conquest. Elvish displaced Old Human by the 700s, with Elvish becoming the primary language of humans living in Khalon. Gnomes, halflings, and dwarves also adopted Elvish as a secondary language for trade during the years following Morenthyr's expansion north.

Geographical Distribution

Two distinct dialects of Elvish exist, Theyan and Belamoran. Theyan is spoken in the Jungles of Theyennor and in the western provinces of Morenthyr. Belamoran is what most consider the main form of Elvish, spoken in the eastern provinces of Morenthyr and used by other nations.
