Rymbyrig Confederation
Long ago Kings and Queens, Emperors and Thanes ruled the realms of Khasur with iron fists and open palms. They followed their destinies and brought with them their kingdoms, to great prosperity, and horrible doom. Eventually, the peoples of Khasur had simply had enough. There was a war. They revolted, first in fits and starts, but eventually coalescing into a full fledged revolution against the old ways. This upheaval lasted generations, and reshaped the world both figuratively and literally, some kingdoms falling into ruin while others became hubs of the new civilizations, burgeoning centers of trade and culture. The species and races mixed, cultures melded, and the Rymbyrig Confederation was born as a shaky, loose conglomerate of numerous states. Each state was promised it's autonomy, and there was no formal central government.
In recent generations, this has fallen by the wayside, with representatives clamoring about history repeating itself in the great halls of the largest cities of the world. The central authority of the Rymbyrigs has grown with each year and their rules become more complex and wide reaching. Often in places as different as Schloss Gletscher and Jordas Cay can be seen burnt orange and red garbed Confederation Guardsmen, known often to distrusting locals as Feds. They outwardly state that they are merely there to ensure the stability of the prosperous union of peoples, but that is a subject of contentious debate.
If there is a place where the Confederation is strongest, or most popular, it is the first ever human megacity of Legdunon. It makes the ancient metropoli of the Elves look wholly abandoned, teeming with people competing for spaces to sleep and raise their families, and constantly expanding outward into the misty moors surrounding it.
