Vryka Wizzleracket-Gemsong
Vryka remembers very little of her birth mother Lysa Gemsong, after her death, Vryka's father remarried, this time to Strixie Wizzleracket in order to merge both family businesses. Despite the originally functional nature of the marriage, it turned out to be a loving and caring home for Vryka. Even after her father's death, Vryka was raised by Strixie as her own child and for all intents and purposes, Vryka considers Strixie her mother.
Vryka's father, Craggor Gemsong was the last male descendant of a once prestigious Dwarven bloodline that was in decline even before the Calamity, and though her older sister Recna cares little for their heritage, it resonates strongly with Vryka. Passed down through the Gemsong line is the Anvil of Songs, said to be one of the Four Great Tools, ancient implements that were used to create the Dwarven Regalia, though some of the few who know of its existance claim it is a fake, as anything tried to hammer on the anvil immediately breaks. Vryka has made it her personal goal to retrieve the tools and recreate the Axe of the Dwarvish lords to prove her heritage and crafting skill.
The Failed Expedition
Together with her half-sister Myara Wizzleracket-Gemsong, and spurred on by her mentor Thancred Ironhill, Vryka managed to lead an expedition into the Waghui jungle to a forgotten Duergar stronghold. With the aid of some adventurers they managed to find another of the Great Tools, the Brutal Pick. They were however, betrayed by Thancred, who threw in his lot with the Duergar. Whose bloodlines he believed to be much closer to the original "Children of Stone" that the Dwarves once were. Thanks to the adventurers, they managed to kill Thancred and make off with the Brutal Pick, which unfortunately went down with the Blue Rose to the sea floor, where it currently still remains.Skills
Vryka has been trained from birth to expertly use a wide variety of tools, and her work is a great source of pride for her. She also knows her way around a fight, and while she hasn't been professionally trained as a fighter, her raw strength more than makes up for it. Her Dwarven bloodline also allows her to regenerate even grievous wounds in a matter of seconds. Additionally, she is a scholar and user of ancient Dwarven Rune Magic, which she uses to supplement her abilities. Unfortunately, despite having a great love for firearms that she inherited from her brother Bezkit, her skill with guns is still rather poor (this hasn't stopped her from trying however, and she's been practicing very hard in every fight) Additionally, due to her growing strength and experience, and the acquisition of Terra Firma, a set of stone leg bracelets, Vryka has unlocked more of her great-ancestor's power. She has grown to nearly 2 meters, and can turn into an Avatar of the Children of Stone, growing a layer of rock over her skin and growing to nearly 4 meters. Family:Values & Personality
Generally, Vryka is a mild-mannered girl with a small serious streak. She does however, get very passionate about Dwarven history and heritage, and its her dream to unlock their true potential. That said, she heavily clashed with her late mentor on how this should be achieved. She takes great pride in good Artisanship, though her desire to prove herself sometimes stretches it into a light obsession. On the nurture side of things, Vryka has inherited more than just a small dose of ambition from Strixie and Craggor, which also reflects deeply on her craft.Relationships
