The Wildbone Inn
"Welcome friends old and new! My name is Senbish Wildbone, and I'm the proprietor of this here fine establishment! My mother owned the place, as did her father before her, all the way back to Sir 'Misshapen Mitch' Wildbone himself, hero of the Northern Acquisition! There are war and adventure trophies here for generations all along the time! You see something you like, you just give me a holler and I'll tell you the story, and they're all good stories, let me tell you! Now, what's your poison? Erazabethene sold me a bit of her wine collection last week and I've got a two hundred year old bottle that she brewed herself just collecting dust in the cellar. Otherwise, Abide brought in some casks from Prunyth earlier this month, it's only 8 GP to tap one and we'll all have a good time! I know, it's rough thinking about putting anything in your mouth made by those rotters, but they do know their way around a little fermentation...
"But if I was really going to recommend something, it'd be the cheap stuff. Right? I'm a much better bartender than salesman, but hear me out; my wife brews ale and mead from her own garden. She's a guard here in town but this woman has the touch! More ways than one, if you catch my drift... those are all my daughters running around waiting tables. Wife and I have been busy, sometimes we don't even have the time to throw a towel over Krankezilk when we're closing up for the night. Isn't that right, Krankie? Ah, cat's got his tongue around here somewhere...
"Anyway, what'll it be?"
~Senbish Wildbone, Plutarch of Alcedene and owner of the Wildbone Inn
Purpose / Function
The Wildbone Inn was built by "Sir Misshapen Mitch" Wildbone, one of the original residents of Alcedene in Year 261. It was always meant to attract adventurers in particular, and over the years has catered to every need or want of that much-maligned class.
At its core, it has always been a pub and inn.
Alterations
The inn stands much as it did originally. Over the years, various owners have made a tradition of buying interesting trophies from monsters and adventures to hang on the walls. There's hardly a wall left in any room or hallway of the place that doesn't have some monster staring at customers with mild shock at its final fate.
Architecture
The walls of the Wildbone Inn are two layers of halved logs with fired-clay and adobe mud in between. The walls are plastered over with white ash-plaster and painted smooth. Hundreds of adventure trophies adorn the walls, with the current centerpiece being the head of a dragonborn bandit Krankezilk.
History
For hundreds of years, the Wildbone Inn has served the area as a hub of adventure, a townhall for Alcedene, the main eatery of the town, and the number one purveyor of public intoxication.
