Voort was born in some nameless dustbin in the center of the Badlands. His life before coming to Lispert is basically a mystery, one he doesn't talk about.
He arrived in Lispert as an adult, with a herd of Norkers. He had acquired them from some Vagun, proving his ability to deal with the Greenskins. It was this proof that led to him representing the town's interest when negotiating taxes for the 4th Legion, something he found highly successful.
He was named Ambassador to the Goblins by Mayor Rory Theemur, his cousin. He was offered a manse in the settlement, a steady income, and his pick of women to start a family. Anything he could have possibly wanted in order to keep him around.
He chose Yafi Truelight to be his wife, and she dutifully has fulfilled his desire.
