The Reckoning of Hell

The Reckoning of Hell was a campaign against Asmodeus by all the Archdevils in Hell. The war had three main powers, the first was Asmodeus himself. The second was led by Mephistopheles, who was joined by Mammon, Dispater, and Levistus. The last was headed by Baalzebul, allied with Zariel, Belial, and Moloch.
Although the exact events of the Reckoning are unknown to those outside of the conflict, what is generally known is that the forces of Mephistopheles fought with the forces of Baalzebul, in an attempt to reach the Ninth Layer of Hell to challenge Asmodeus. However, infinitely clever, Asmodeus was able to manipulate both sides into wiping each other out, and he never physically entered the conflict.
The aftermath also confuses all those except for Asmodeus, as his intentions are always a mystery.
Mephistopheles remained in his position. Mammon was mutated from his original form to that of the serpent he is known seen as. Dispater kept his layer of hell, as well as Levistus, but the former was entrapped in a tomb of ice permanently.
Baalzebul was also transformed from his original form into that of a monstrous slug, Zariel received no apparent punishment. Belial was stripped of his position of Duke, with his role given to his daughter Fierna. Moloch was destroyed in the battle, so he was replaced by Asmodeus' own daughter, Glasya.
