discovery of fire magics by the J'barri, via the guidance of the Riiji and J'bar.
After nearly a century of owning magically inclined slaves and semi-steady relations with the Yunbad, Riiji approached the Prides that they could learn the power of magic themselves by entering the flames of Renad-Pai. Though the volcano had been exploited for most of the era, never had it seemed magically inclined. Regardless, the Figureheads of each pride gathered for the first time since the founding and went to Renad-Pai. Magic could not be learned, it had to be gifted. Many experiments with slaves proved this. The expedition would be vital for the future of their civilization, so they used J'bar as a guide, as he was the only recorded god in history to travel in a "mortal shell." They were told to walk into the caverns of the volcano and stand amongst the heat. When the moon was directly above and made a cap over the volcano, only then could they be imbued. This, miraculously, came to be. Tut'Maut, Nil Hra, and Can-en were the first three to discover fire magics and are still viewed as demigods, regardless of cultural shifts over time. Renad-Pai, however, was almost exclusively inhabited by Yunbad slaves. Magic was a gift to their race, and it had been stolen by the dishonorable J'barri. That night, an attempted revolution took place. Though inexperienced, the three figureheads purged the mountain. The leaders summoned a "Tsunami of fire and charcoal," wiping out all who opposed like a great flood. Going forward, J'barri still had restraint and mostly used slaves for magic as they knew it would emaciate them. However, a strange twist to this new magic was quickly discovered: the J'barri prides could gift magic to whoever they desired.
