The Eastern Coast of the Sundered Sea. The Empire first expanded into the land here just over three hundred years ago, displacing the local Goblin tribes and carving a foothold in this savage land. The frontier towns have provided an important trade link to the ancient city of Rakheen, which has allowed an influx of textiles and tapestries, and Dwarven crafted weapons, armour and tools; into the Empire.

Phandalin A small mining town located South of Neverwinter on the Triboar Trail. Phandalin was built on the ruins of an ancient town of the same name, sacked during the Verani Invasion. The rebuilt town was destroyed by the Primordial's forces immediately prior to the Siege of Neverwinter

Locations:
Thundertree A long abandoned settlement in the Neverwinter Forest south of Neverwinter. The inhabitants of Thundertree vanished after a wizard's dabbling with black magic to heal his dying wife led to a thinning of the Veil and the incursion of shadowy creatures. Conyberry A ruined town on the Triboar Trail, east of Phandalin. Conyberry was razed during the Verani Invasion. It has a reputation for being haunted, and few travellers choose to dally there.
Old Owl Well An ancient ruined Netheril Watchtower. The well in the courtyard still produces clean, fresh water; and as such the site becomes a common stopping point for travellers on the Triboar Trail. Hidden beneath the well is an ancient Nethonris wayshrine. This was used by Halia Thornton, in conjunction with one of the Eyes of Vroth, to open a tear in the Veil and allow an avatar of Iquath to manifest and besiege Neverwinter
Shar'Datai An ancient Nethonris temple located beneath the city of Neverwinter. The temple itself was once the base of operations of the Nethonris, prior to their initial rout by the Inquisitors of Selune. It was constructed above a collapsed sea cave, which contained the dried husk of the aboleth K'Dratai. K'Dratai's dreams psychically drew both the Nethonris, and later the original Neverwinter settlers, to the site.
Wave Echo Cave The site of the fabled Lost Mine of Phandelver; Wave Echo Cave gets its name from an odd quirk of geography, which causes one chamber within the complex to resonate with the thunderous sound of a hidden waterfall deep underground. Within the cave complex, a deep chasm leads directly to the resting place of Xanith at the centre of Lanath. The overspill of intense arcane energies at this breach was harnessed by ancient Magi using the Forge of Spells to craft the most incredible magical arms and armour the world has seen since the collapse.
The Sand Pits (Rakheen) The world famous gladiatorial arena in Rakheen is home to the Rakheen Pro Wrestling organisation.
The Bay of Blades This massive sea loch in the Rakheen Grasslands is ringed by shard of razor sharp rock protruding from the ground.
