First Step Campground
A small but surprisingly safe clearing in the trees, one with a more permanent large wooden building, somewhere between a tent and a shack, sits here. There's a fire pit lined with stones and well used, if the charcoal that sits at the center means anything, and it's got some good firm sticks atop that have clearly been used to skewer many a meal. The space is easily large enough for 2, even 3 parties to rest, and has been a place where both friendships have been started and the source of much bloodshed for a final safe place to spend the night in a dangerous territory.
Architecture
While the building itself it primarily wood, there are stones outlining it, preserving the placement of the logs and anchoring some bits. There are layers upon layers of cloth, sewn on parts in dozens of different colors from parties long before trying to fix up the space, many ragged and worn through over the years but generally in surprisingly good repair.
The Tent is large, with well trod thin wood boards, likely added by a party long ago, and cloth privacy barriers between the two large bedroom spaces inside. There are strong wooden stakes along the outside of the building to help keep it intact, and a secondary cloth above the entire building to help keep rain out.
Defenses
When anything enters the clearing there is a clear and loud "hello friend" which is spoken in common, a gift from a wizard who's party used the space. This alarm does nothing to harm anyone, but alerts the people inside to someone new's presence.
