Kiiwad Beka

Flowing from the mountains in the center of Edan Nehziimdehl, this creek is full of icy cold runoff from snow or fresh rain constantly. As such, it is both as clean as it is dangerously chilly. It is near this stream that the village Tsiwabeka, a settlement of Strix, enjoys their peaceful life and meets adventurers traveling to the island. As it continues both well before and well past this settlement, it is used by some who are confident in their ability to correctly identify which water body they're near as a way to find this village, but more importantly it can be a simple source of potable water wherever people may find it.
Many creatures drink from here, and while plenty seek only to take care of their thirst and go elsewhere, some hunt along the river, with some species becoming clever about pushing their prey into the water, to either drown or freeze.

Ecosystem

Home to few fish inside the water but a temporary refuge for dozens of species, this river is vital to the ecosystem of the island. its cleanliness does lead to few things being anle to survive within it, but also is what kept it safe for Avians to make their home on the island and use it as a source of fresh water.
