Hasdrubal Darkdrinker
Hasdrubal is a Tevashi monk and historian from Cameri, who joined Stephano di Cario di Bregzana's expedition to Kab Melekh as an expert on the historical period that the tomb was thought to date from. His involvement was at the bidding of Asher, one of the financial backers of the expedition.
Publically, Hasdrubal's role was to advise Stephano on the historical context of the tomb, though he was also tasked with ensuring that any items of note that were removed from the tomb were returned to the dwarven community in Cameri once they had been properly catalogued and studied. In this, he was the eyes of Autokrator Eleth Strongbeam, the populist leader of the city's government.
In truth, Hasdrubal is a member of the Darkdrinker Sect, a secretive and somewhat sinister branch of the Tevashi religion.
After Kab Melekh
Despite the attempts of Tzatu'yshan to kill him, Hasdrubal survived the events that occured at Kab Melekh and returned to Cameri, now freed from the Web of Fate due to the actions of the Sixth Paragon. According to Dendrithekimallion, he later encountered a group of hags that were making contact with the various survivors of Kab Melekh for their own inscrutable purposes. Offered "the true nature of any god, demon, or similar being" in exchange for a secret that he had never told another living soul, he attempted to bargain with the hags by giving them a secret that he considered worthless in exchange for answers regarding the nature of the god Kheth - which the hags told him was "the cry of a million murdered souls - and nothing more".
