However, time sours her, and her bitterness and jealousy lead to her eventual downfall, as she fails to make the correct decisions when confronted with the inevitable rise of the Enemy and the growing power of Lothiriel.

Personal history
The first queen of Taliesin, Maeveen was the most powerful of the eight Namers and the most powerful being in existence at the end of the Founding Wars. After her first death in Year 8012, she was reborn in 56000 and took the throne 223 years later. However, time had made her bitter and jealous, and her pride led her to her second death at the hands of the Enemy at the Battle of Zalimar Island. She would be reborn a second time 7000 years before the War of the Firebird began.
